Ultra-High-Definition Television, or UHDTV, is a new standard for television that offers four times the resolution of 1080p HDTV. UHDTV also offers a wider color gamut, higher frame rates, and other enhancements that result in a significantly improved viewing experience. While UHDTV is still in its early stages, a number of manufacturers are already offering UHDTV-compatible TVs, and broadcasters are beginning to offer UHDTV content.
Some of the emerging trends in Ultra-High-Definition Television include the use of OLED technology, the use of quantum dot technology, and the use of high dynamic range (HDR) technology.
