Lithium–air batteries (Li–air batteries) are a type of metal–air battery where lithium is used as the anode and oxygen from the air is used as the cathode. Theoretically, Li–air batteries have one of the highest energy densities of any known battery technology.
Some of the emerging trends in Lithium–Air Battery are the use of solid electrolytes, the use of novel air cathodes, and the use of novel architectures.
